Corinne Leary opened the meeting stating that Ken Stratton was looking at Unity College as a possible site for the field exam which is scheduled for October 3, 2007.
The MASE Spring Meeting is scheduled for February 27, 2008. George Hoyfelder of the Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Testing Center is being strongly considered as a guest speaker discussing proprietary devices.
Corinne is still looking at health insurance and liability insurance and this will likely be a topic of discussion with representatives from insurance companies likely present to answer questions.
Corinne is considering the Millennium in Newport as a possible site for the next Spring Meeting
There will be 12 people taking the site evaluator field exam this year!
The schedules of events associated with the field test site are as follows:
Monday, October 1 – Dig test pits
Tuesday, October 2 – Experts evaluate pits
Wednesday, October 3 – Field Exam
Thursday, October 4 – MASE Field Day/Seminar
Friday, October 5 – Fill in test pits
The cost of the exam is $75.00. The backhoe cost is about $75.00/hour
Russ Martin dropped in and discussed briefly some of the possible plans to consolidate DHHS and Agriculture and DHHS and the MDEP.
The next MASE board meeting is scheduled for December 4, 2007 at 3:00 pm
